Biography
Sherree Valentine Daines is a contemporary British painter known for her impressionistic leisure scenes. Often depicting children at the beach, or women lounging in shade, Daines works in the tradition of artists like Édouard Manet and Berthe Morisot. Her light-filled portraits have been commissioned by British celebrities such as Jim Sessions, Joanna Lumley, and Michael Parkinson. Born in 1959 in Effingham, United Kingdom, she worked as legal secretary in London before pursuing a degree in painting from the Epsom School of Art. The artist’s works are in the collections of the former Prime Minister Sir John Major and members of the British royal family. Daines lives and works in Dorking, United Kingdom.
