Description
This is a very rare, long lost early print of S.W. Hayter - from 1933, published in an edition of only 30. The title is "Torero" (Bullfighter). This work was acquired from the collection of (the late) Charles Bayly, Jr., head of Bayly Corporation, a major donor to the Denver Art Museum who in fact had a collection of bullfighter prints. Framed and ready to hang. Unexamined out of frame, but appears to be a very good impression of this very scarce early Hayter piece. Stanley H.W. Hayter was one of the most important and influential printmakers of the 20th century..Hand-signed by artist, Signed, titled, numbered from the edition of 30 and dated on the recto
Published by Atelier 17, Paris
