The form of Eclipse is an interplay between figure and abstraction, which Tony Cragg develops from drawings in which he designs the profile of the sculpture from different views, usually offset by 90° to each other. The sculpture thus never reveals itself from just one view and is experienced by the viewer again and again through his own movement.
