‘A Still Life with Flowers and Fruits’ is a framed contemporary horizontal gouache on paper painting created by Vietnamese artist Tran Luu Hau in 1992. Featuring a bold palette made of a variety of colors such as green and blue, accented with white, yellow, red, pink and purple, the painting evokes the modern and expressionist use of colors made by the Fauvist movement during the very early years of the 20th century.

Since retiring Tran has had solo shows around the world and his works can be found in numerous museums from the Fine Arts Museum of Vietnam to the Moscow Museum of Oriental Arts to the National Museum of East Asia Arts in Poland. His works are found in private collections around the world as well. Tran is also one of a small number of Vietnamese artists whose works are regularly sold at international auctions at Sotheby’s, Christie's and others.
