Vanessa Longo (Italian, b.1974) is a Contemporary artist, known for her work painted on copper plates that she nails to reclaimed wooden tables. Female figures or goddess are recurring imagery in her work, and nearly all her materials are recycled. Longo enrolled at the Liceo Artistico Statale in Treviso at age 14, and went on to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and travel to Madrid as an exchange student. She is the recipient of numerous honors and awards including from NO SPHERE Arts gallery, the Société Nationale des Beaux Arts, and Kalani Honua Inc., among others. Longo has lived and worked in New York since 2013.
