Description
In this painting, Kahn deftly combines landscape painting and abstraction into a new and energetic take on interpreting this grove of trees. Kahn's use of color and light are the draw to his paintings of these often bucolic scenes, and the color palettes that he uses evoke feelings around the scenes that he paints. More than simply a representation of the landscape, we are given a glimpse into what the artist felt when he painted by the colors that he uses. The electrically bright colors in the pastel work are buoyant, uplifting and energetic.
