Description
Location: The army is in Hong Kong and in perfect condition.
It was offered in 2008 in auction in 2008 at Christies.
Info: Yue Minjun made 5 of these armies. Each 25 men (size 1.85 x 72 x 50 cm.)
Material is fiberglass and painted. Each army was different. Each army has a different position.
Two army’s are in Chinese museums, (mr. Zigi donated this one to the Shanghart Museum). Christian Dior bought one army but separated the works.
As well as, another private collector separated the works.
So there is only one complete on the market and that is mine.
I bought the works in 2005 from Alexander Ochs then the famous German specialist in Chinese art.
