Evening Sale (Lots 1 to 51) - 25 April at 6pm
April 2024's edition of MODERN MADE will once again offer the very best in Modern, Post-War & Contemporary Art, Modern Design, Contemporary Craft and Studio Ceramics.
The pre-sale exhibition will be on view at the Mall Galleries, Pall Mall – in the heart of London’s gallery district. This year the sale will span two sessions, with a curated group of works being sold in the evening of Thursday 25 April, and the day session of the sale taking place on Friday 26 April. The auction features works by some of the most important artists and makers of the 20th and 21st centuries, including luminaries such as Amedeo Modigliani, Zao Wou-Ki, Sir Howard Hodgkin, Tracey Emin, Bridget Riley, Sir Grayson Perry and Dame Magdalene Odundo. Further highlights include sculpture from the Studio of Laurence Broderick, contemporary silver from the collection of Gordon Hamme, a seminal neckpiece by Wendy Ramshaw, shown alongside jewellery by Claude Lalanne and Georg Jensen and a rare offering of works by master craftsman Richard Kell. We are particularly delighted to be offering the largest early domestic commission by renowned stained-glass artist Sir Brian Clarke, and the collection of the late graphic designer and photographer Steve Allison, featuring one of the most significant private collections of design works by the late Gaetano Pesce in Britain.
