From Lombardy to the Mezzogiorno, gallery owners turned to the works of the remarkable self taught artist. Now two exhibitions are upcoming in the Italian capital: The group exhibition "Without Words" at the Arte Borgo Gallery from the end of January and a solo exhibition at the Gallerie Il Collezionista, known for emerging artists, from mid-March.
"Without Words" is the title of the exhibition at the Arte Borgo Gallery in the very heart of Rome, in the immediate vicinity of the Vatican, curated by Anna Isopo in collaboration with the art historian Martina Scavon. The exhibition deals with the sensory overload of modern times, in which an incomprehensible flood of information and a seemingly never-ending stream of words often pushes the essential out of sight. The exhibition wants to create more time for tranquility and details, to offer a balance to everyday life and to enable a moment of peace within the exhibition. Therefore, the artworks in the exhibition explore the "unsaid", the value of pauses, attention to others and the beauty of thought and life. As one of three artists in "Without Words", Alexandra Kordas will be exhibiting her photographic work for the first time. The photographs are from the "Feelings" series, and are numbered B1-4 and D1 and D2. They capture a moment of silence that recounts a story without words.
