The exhibition is the result of an ongoing study, started several years ago, on the figure of the writer Christine de Pizan, particularly on the text The City of Ladies, published in 1405. While she was absorbed in her study, the author tells of having had a vision, three ladies Reason, Rectitude and Justice appeared to encourage her to build a city of freedom which hosts virtuous and noble-minded women. Starting from the fascination of the text, the exhibition outlines the idea of a different place, an energetic city in which to discover a primary desire for life. A dynamic attraction becomes an engine of action for a possible future gaining strength from the ancestors. A space in which the power of expression of the human soul echoes and the desire to get in touch with the natural world emerges, to restore the instinct of the elements. A wall painting of a large nebula that pervades the space opens the exhibition. In this evanescence the work Conversazione cosmica emerges, a miniature depicting the writer Christine de Pizan intent on her studies, in which the artist inserts a nebula through a pictorial intervention. A primordial element of the birth of a star becomes a generative metaphor for creation, evidence of connection with the whole. Related, the sculpture of a brass coral is symbolically transformed into a multi-point telescope. Historically considered a protective amulet it becomes an invitation to have a multiple view of the world. In the second room, in Pioggia primordiale, the artist imagines the fantastic scenario of a storm of stars, which fertilizes and gives positive charge to this imaginative place. An event of epiphany in which the earth is loaded with cosmic energy cultivated in order to procreate the beginning of a new life. This process is represented by the three drawings placed in the central room. Related to this energetic osmosis shining stones are installed in the space, each one representing not only the foundational building base of the city but also embodying the spirit and history of a woman from the past. Representing the city's epicenter the artist depicts roots of fire, an earthy visceral power branching out in space and time. Following the artist represents a lighthouse, guardian of the sun and its radiant light. The exhibition continues with the work Strumento di misurazione, an aloe leaf made of brass, whose spines through the engraving of millimeter notches become measuring points. The aloe, chosen for its inherent beneficial properties, becomes the basis of a new metric system for building a future community, focused on care. Surrounding the sculpture a series of drawings from the series Siamo il passato oscuro del mondo, in which the hybridity between human beings and natural elements is revealed in a poetic key. In the last room hanging on the wall the work Specchio, an obsidian stone used since primordial times for self-reflection becomes an element of inner exploration. An act of analysis that leads us back to the origin in the propulsive depth of creation.
