Alison Jacques Gallery’s Frieze New York 2015 presentation will be comprised of a focused selection of seven important artists and Estates. This year we will be focusing on paintings by Ryan Mosley (UK, b. 1980), alongside works by Surrealist painter Dorothea Tanning (USA, b.1910, d. 2012). Irma Blank (Germany, b. 1934) who will have her first solo show at the gallery during Frieze, October 2014, explores the intersections of linguistic and visual representation. Brazilian artist Fernanda Gomes (Brazil, b. 1960) will show a group of old and new works in juxtaposition with previously unexhibited primary market work by Lygia Clark (Brazil, b. 1920, d. 1988). In 2014 the Museum of Modern Art, NY presented a major retrospective devoted to the art of Lygia Clark (Brazilian, 1920–1988). Shortly thereafter Fantastic Architecture 1, 1963/2013 was realised by the Estate in partnership with Alison Jacques and exhibited at The Henry Moore Foundation, Perry Green. We will also be presenting gestural works from the Estate of Hannah Wilke (America b. 1940; d. 1993) as well as exhibiting Sheila Hicks (American, b. 1934) who is currently showing new works at The Hayward Gallery Project Space, London.
