Anca Poterasu Gallery presents a solo exhibition by Yasmina Assbane,
whose artistic practice is deeply rooted in the daily banality and
material life of familiar objects primarily attributed to women -
glimpses of the fashion and beauty industry transformed into an
inventory of chance. They are emptied of their primary function through
dismantling and symbolic reconfiguration strategies to challenge the
stereotypical assumptions of the gaze. Fragile, graceful, and mysterious
materials such as glass, mirror, and fiber are the insertions of a
feminine imaginary, deconstructed and reassembled in a system of
“fortification” of one’s own being. Exploring the concept of femininity
between subject and object, the artworks appear as both erotic and
feminist, sensual and subversive. This dialectical approach is the
language that creates space for new perspectives and narratives.

Expanding upon the themes explored in the solo exhibition, we invite you
to delve into our
viewing room — a space where a deeply personal, sensitive, and sensual
dream unfolds. Here, a variety of artistic mediums come together,
complemented by the creations of esteemed artists such as Aurora Király,
Oana Cosug, Iosif Király,  Matei Bejenaru, Dragoș Badita,
Iulian Bisericaru, and Sebastian Hosu.
