In partnership with LA’s 4AM Gallery, ArtLife will present a premier line-up of the latest work from celebrated contemporary artist Gregory Siff entitled, ‘The Thrill Series,” which will be available for viewing at ArtLife’s gallery beginning Thursday, December 3 through Monday, December 7.
-Gregory Siff’s ‘The Thrill Series’ exhibition will feature an array of new works including an elegant watercolor series and bold large format works in screenprinting. In these large scale works on canvas, Gregory conceptualizes the feelings that embody the biggest thrills in life. The works are a deep exploration into the rhythm of moments experienced firsthand by the artist. The drop of a roller-coaster ride, the lift off of the Concorde jet (when he was just 2 years old), and sunrise kisses with someone exiting a party are just a few of the themes and emotions that will be explored. Using new methods while integrating his iconic symbology, this body of work is truly where the abstract and recognizable meet. Gregory captures what it’s like to live life to the fullest. Large acrylic brushstrokes, screenprinting, soft pencil and water softened colors merge to bring the viewer into the exact moment that the idea was born.
The exhibition will open to VIP guests on Thursday, December 3 from 7pm - 10pm and open to the public starting on Friday, December 4 from 12pm to 6pm.
GREGORY QUOTE:
“I want the show to remind you of your own thrills. My works are the sheet music of life, and everyone is written in there somewhere. Even though we come from different mothers, we all know what it means to be held, to experience ups and downs, to feel the thrills of life as they overtake us.”
