Through two large sections, the exhibition shows the journey of contemporary Spanish painting, highlighting its political, social and artistic development characteristics. The first chapter collects the best pieces of material painting by Miquel Barceló, Luis Feito Manolo Millares, Antonio Saura and Antoni Tàpies, and the second focuses on the geometrizing style of Eduardo Chillida, Martín Chirino, Jorge Oteiza and Pablo Palazuelo. Finally, first-rate works by artists such as Equipo Crónica, Juan Genovés, José Guerrero, Joan Miró and Jaume Plensa close this special journey through the history of contemporary art in our country through the collections of our gallery.
