The Bode Gallery Korea in collaboration with Kimreeaa Gallery presents the artist in his various facets of painting, paper work and sculpture. On the occasion of the show, the detailed publication "Alain Clément - Selected Works 2003 - 2022" with an introduction by art historian Dr. Nicola Heuwinkel was produced.

Long known as a classic in France, Alain Clément creates an oeuvre of abstraction - at least that is how it seems at first glance. But on further inspection, the points of view shift and a formal language shaped by man and his liveliness comes to light. The artist allows the pure form to take precedence visually and only then lets the viewer recognize the underlying figuration. The classical reception of motifs is thus reversed. A balancing act between abstraction and figuration, a symbiosis of passion and deliberation.
