Woo Jong Taek

Bode Galerie Korea Ltd. Hyeongchung-ro 6-gil, 9-2, NamguDaegu, 705-804, South Korea Tuesday, February 27, 2018–Saturday, March 17, 2018

In our Gallery in Daegu/South Korea, we currently present a solo exhibition by the Korean painter Woo Jong Taek. With his work, he aims for communicating the Korean culture, which is close to nature and tradition, to our western world. Woo Jong Taek was already represented with a solo exhibition in our Gallery in Nuremberg. The artist pictures the nature abstract and expressionistic and by that, he connects his so-called action painting with a traditional Asian art of writing and painting. The artist desires to represent the unseen power of nature – therefore he does not include any realistic objects in his art works. The outcome of this are dynamic and energetic paintings, which are thought provoking. Woo Jong Taek creates a deep connection between the beholder and the artwork: the painter says, that the pureness of nature gives healing to humans. Another important aspect for Woo Jong Taek is to have an exchange of two very different cultures – we completely agree with him in that aspect. Thus, we are very happy to inform you about the exhibition in our Gallery in South Korea, in which we present the ongoing work of the South Korean artist.
