Bowman Sculpture is delighted to announce its participation to the 2019 edition of the Winter Show, exhibiting outstanding European sculpture from the 19thand 20thcentury. Ranging from Romanticism to Modernism, artists featured in this curated display include Auguste Rodin, Aimé-Jules Dalou, Alfred Gilbert, Frederic Leighton, and Henry Moore. This journey through the history of European art will be undertaken via a variety of materials in marble, wood, plaster and bronze.
Highlights of our booth will be two outstanding examples of Rodin’s famed Eternal Springin bronze, as well as a version of his Faunesse Debout (Standing Faunesse), from the Gates of Hell, which was gifted to Gina Lollobridgida from her admirer H.M. Prince Aga Khan III.
Among important examples of British art, the booth will display a cast of the famed model of the Sluggardby Frederic Leighton (recently exhibited at Tate Britain, London, ‘Painting with Light’, 2015), as well as a rare plaster and plasticine working model by Alfred Gilbert.
