Established in 2000, CLAMP specializes in a broad range of Modern and Contemporary paintings, prints, and photographs, with an emphasis on early 20th-century American Art (c.1920–1940), in addition to a variety of Modern and Contemporary photography.
Aside from dealing in secondary market material, CLAMP also represents a number of emerging and mid-career artists, many of whom work within the photographic medium or deal with issues of photo-related import.
CLAMP has placed artwork in numerous important public and private collections, including the Jewish Museum in New York City; the Worcester Art Museum; the Rhode Island School of Design Museum; the St. Louis Art Museum; and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; to name just a few.
Brian Paul Clamp, director of CLAMP, has nearly 15 years' experience in the field. Brian Paul Clamp holds an MA in Critical Studies in Modern Art from Columbia University, and is the author of 14 publications on American Art to date.
