I visit Paris often to attend Paris Photo, where I meet artist-friends, see beautiful art, and browse interesting photo-books. I also make sure I carry my Leica M6, to capture the beauty of Paris in my own way. I think Paris was designed for artists and poets; its special mood and atmosphere, and unique light, are so conducive to lofty introspection.

It was a shock to be aroused out of my daydream by the noise of police sirens, ambulances and the sight of blood on the sidewalks. The attack on Paris was murderous not only on human life but also on the human soul. For me, Paris will always be a cradle of beauty and a nourishing source for civilized life.
