"My paintings are an expression of a multifaceted image of nature, in which the processual, transformative character of nature plays as much a role as fascinating new insights into the functioning of plant societies. However, the artificial penetration of nature and its images as well as the growing possibilities of digital and physical manipulation also have an influence on my depiction of nature. This is how my pictorial worlds oscillating between abstraction and figuration are created, in which recognizable elements of nature meet indefinable forms and combine to form floating, dynamic landscapes and nature compositions. In my paintings is basically not the representation of a particular result, but the process of change, dissolution and rearrangement decisive. For me, this always contains aspects of chance and chaos, which are generally strongly expressed in my painting." Tatiana Urban
