1917: Apprenticed to a jeweler; began sketching
1919 - 1920: Took evening classes at a free art academy, Budapest, Hungary
1921: Studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule (School of Arts and Crafts), Vienna, Austria
1922: Emigrated to New York, NY
Took evening classes at the Educational Alliance Art School, New York, NY
1925 - 1927: Attended classes at the Beaux-Arts Institute of Design, New York, NY
1926 - 1930: Participated to the artist colonies in Woodstock, NY and Provincetown, RI
