The pictorial technique of Fernando de Szyszlo is unique in Latin America. Harmonies almost unpublished in surprising contrasts and compositions, make it virtuous of color and chiaroscuro. Thus his paintings are expressive visual, chromatic and luminous formulations, organized in different planes. An impeccable technique, together with the constructive perfection of the pictorial space, confers on the work a sublime and sacred character that, starting from forming that they return to the myth and ancestral origins, result in plastic architectures from whose hollows priests appear officiating ceremonies dedicated to deities of ancient cults. His inventions elaborated from realities form an indefectible part of the substrate of an enigmatic and mysterious character in which the rational and the emotional are mixed, and this places Fernando de Szyszlo in the most absolute contemporary: it is painting-painting.
