This exhibition is an example of the pictorial production of the Ecuadorian master Oswaldo Guayasamín who is not only the most visible artist in that country during the 20th century, but also one of the most prominent Latin American artists. His abundant work was materialized by multiple means that include not only painting but also murals, sculpture, drawing, graphic work, jewelry, and architectural conceptions. The artist was able to develop and project his work over six decades on different continents, attracting the attention of his particular figurative expressionism and his evident social conscience.
