Photographer, critic, professor and historian of photography. He is considered the "portraitist" of the city of Tokyo. His photographs have been exhibited at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum. In 1993 he realized the exhibition "Love you Tokyo" (Setagaya Art Museum) with Nobuyoshi Araki, who made his work known.
