In 2003 Carmen Brucic was invited by Christoph Schlingensief to accompany him on a research trip for his Bayreuth "Parsifal" production. Brucic tells of this exotic search for clues to Parsifal in film sequences shot with a Nikon F2 35mm small-format camera. From Kathmandu to Bhaktapur via the Himalayan Mountains, Bangkok, Ko Samui, back to Bayreuth. 17 years later, these photographs not only recall fascinating cultural areas that were destroyed by the terrible earthquake in Nepal in 2015, they also provide a previously unknown insight into the work of Christoph Schlingensief.
