We are pleased to announce our next show in Vienna by German painter Johanna Freise.

Trunk is the title of a work series on paper, one developed each month during the course of the pandemic, starting in March 2020. Due to a temporary studio situation and the new limitations in everyday life, the artist felt forced to resort to the simplest materials and objects surrounding her, leading to painting subjects such as classical still lifes and happenings from the newspaper, merched together. The exhibition comprises new works on paper and canvas in different scales. It is accompanied with a text written by Kathrin Heinrich, published on the occassion of the opening.
