On September 13, 2019, Galerie Kellermann will open another location in Düsseldorf.
As a prelude, the gallery will show a spectacular collection of outstanding kinetic ZERO works:
The collection of the Düsseldorf entrepreneur Lutz Dresen.
Günther Uecker describes the collection that Lutz Dresen has assembled over 60 years as "probably the most authentic private collection of kinetic art."
Over 170 kinetic works by various artists await you, including works by Julio Le Parc and Jesus Rafael Soto, an original light ballet by Otto Piene, a unique round table object by Adolf Luther, a rotating light stele by Heinz Mack from 1960, the last known collaborative work by Charles Wilp and Yves Klein, and a densely nailed rotating light disc that Günther Uecker made especially for Lutz Dresen. Dresen knew all the artists whose art he collected personally and promoted some of them in hard times with targeted purchases. Now he is parting with his treasures.
The extensive collection will be presented at both locations of Galerie Kellermann: in the new gallery at Heinrich-Heine-Allee 12 and at Cheruskerstraße 105 in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel.
