Innocy, that’s the name of the innocent monster that will live in the project space of Galerie Krinzinger during the exhibition. In a small house, built inside the gallery space, Innocy will draw and paint all day, only interrupted by visitors. Then he does photos and poses for and with the people, who come to see him. Innocy also has a lot of friends, who send him postcards from all over the world. He hangs the cards in his house, enjoying the motifs. From the cards, Innocy gets beautiful new ideas for his works, an exchange with the outer world evolves of this postcard-project. Send a postcard to Innocy! He will be glad and write back:

From time to time Innocy leaves the exhibition to explore Vienna and its tourist attractions. He documents his trips, and his guests can enjoy the photos and videos in his house, seeing Innocy riding the Riesenrad, posing in front of St. Stephans cathedral or playing tennis.
Shintaro Miyake, born 1970 in Tokyo, Japan, is one of the shooting stars of the Japanese art scene. For his exhibitions he invents artificial characters, for which he designs costumes that he uses in his performances. For Miyake, "To wear the character costume is expression of making portrait of myself. I feel something missing just showing a completed work". His works are made through his role, and correspond thematically to the character. The drawings tend to a childish way of seeing the world, he tries to do them very playfully. The long and thin arms and legs as well as the eliptic heads are the main attributes of his childishly idealized portraits.
