The record of the Meyer Kainer Gallery’s activities includes a chronologically arranged montage of texts excerpted from press releases, artists’ statements, theoretical essays for or about the exhibitions, and reviews in the media. The intention is to evoke not only the gallery’s various activities, but also the resonances these generated. While the texts in this first section, with their manifold ideas, provide variations on the viewpoints that can be inferred from the images, the images in the second part conversely serve to absorb the viewpoints they seem to represent.
