In line with the exhibition title "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" is for the Berlin artist only the logical way forward.
With the Julian Hoffmann Solo Show we are starting a new and great exhibition year. We show the whole range of his artistic work, which ranges from paintings behind old windows to collages of all kinds, sculptures and installations.
In line with the exhibition title "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" is for the Berlin artist only the logical way forward. This is made clear once again by his current work. Julian Hoffmann constructs and composes paintings and objects from everyday objects in our consumer society, putting together what actually doesn't belong together. The color forms the beat and the complexity of his works the highs and lows of the tones. Hoffmann, who is often accompanied by music in all its facets during his work in the studio, finds his inspiration in it as well as in Berlin, the creative center and melting pot of the art scene.
In his work, the artist deals intensively and critically with current social issues and confronts the viewer with the contradictions of our world in his very own and humorous way.
