Galerie Thomas Zander is pleased to present both photographs and, for the first time, drawings by Jürgen Klauke. The artist is considered a pioneer of conceptually staged photographic art, in which he has been shaping strategies of performance and body art since the early 1970s. The works on paper Kreuz&Queer, rich in fantasy but also in allusion, show the human body as an object of transformation and can be seen as metamorphoses of the sexual. The group of works Bodysounds is situated in the interplay of self-performance and consists of large-scale C-prints that show the artist in a balloon-like covering.
