First visit to Paris. Attended courses in the teaching studio of Lovis Corinth in Berlin. In 1908 he visited Paris again and then Italy

Married Elisabeth Gerhardt in Bonn. Honeymoon in Paris. Birth of their sons Walter and Wolfgang in 1910 and 1913

Moved to Tegernsee for one year. Beginning of friendship with Franz Marc

Contributed to the almanac “Der Blaue Reiter” and to the two exhibitions of the same name. Co-organized the “Sonderbund” exhibition in Cologne. Visited Paris together with Franz Marc

Co-organizer of the exhibitions “Rhenish Expressionists” in Bonn and the “Autumn Salon” in Berlin

Died in Perthes-les-Hurlus in Champagne, France
