The promotion of up-and-coming artists is a matter we genuinely care about. Thereby we provide an opportunity for talented students of the local art academy to present their artworks in an art gallery and help them enter the art world.

Extensive social paradigm shifts are caused by the current „zeitgeist“. The eponymous concept of PLAYGROUND contains a striking ambivalence between highly academic standards and the omnipresent demand for individual experiences without previous education at the present day.

Guiding principle of the unique project series is the multifaceted phenomenon KIDULT (a neologism derived from the two terms „adult“ & „kid“) which opens up a space of possibilities in which the observer is allowed to experiment playfully and curiously.

The observer bears the responsibility to cast the role of a discoverer: What is the contemporary definition of childlikeness? How much room do I allow myself in everyday life? Of which importance is today’s procrastination of obligations which is based on the insisting on one’s own freedom?

We don't provide prefabricated answers to all these questions, but further call for everyone to actively question the concept of KIDULT on their own.
