Solo Exhibition of Bae Bien-U

The "Sea & Island", the second part of opening exhibition of Gana Art Busan, is the first solo exhibition of Bae Bien-U who gains public favor with deep Korean lyricism of his artworks domestically & internationally. This exhibition, whose theme is sea and island, reflects his consistent philosophy and viewpoint on nature since he started to take photos about 30 years ago.
Being taken while the artist was traveling Namhae, Yeosu, Tong-do temple of Yangsan and Haeundae, The twenty six photographs are composed of Pine Tree, Jeju Orum, Tahiti, and sea & islands of Yeosu and Namhae.
The Bae Bien-U exhibition interprets "sea and land" - the immense theme of the nature - with lyrical frame called painting of landscape drawn in black and white. It will show the expanding realm of photography as media and the infinite artistic potential of the artist who is praised as the best showing the Korean identity.
