For Art Cologne 2018 Hauser & Wirth’s presentation focuses on three very different artists for whom geometric abstraction has been a key point of interest during their career: Larry Bell, Mary Heilmann and Takesada Matsutani. For each of these artists, geometric form – explored through light, colour and composition – has proved fertile territory in their nuanced practice. The presentation brings together works across a span of decades, from the mid sixties to the present day, and features paintings, sculpture, works on paper and pieces of furniture.
