From its inception, the gallery has been at the forefront of contemporary art, championing and showcasing the works of renowned artists such as Ken Price, Ed Ruscha, and John McLaughlin among other influential artists.

Corcoran has 50 years of experience in building important private collections. He partnered with Leo Castelli and Richard Feigen to found Castelli Feigen Corcoran. He was also a founding partner of both C&M Arts and in 2011 Kayne Griffin Corcoran, now known as Pace Gallery.
