During the months of April and May Galeria Jordi Pascual presents the exhibition “Carlos Nadal. The language of the colour”. Through 17 oils, from different sizes and periods, the exhibition shows the artistic career of Carlos Nadal (Paris 1917 – Sitges 1998) with paintings that represent his most characteristic themes: seascapes, interiors and landscapes. Like this it is possible to see, from French interiors like “L’Atelier”, beaches of France like “Playa del Norte” or “Plage aux êstivants”, to urban landscapes from cities like New York or theatre scenes as “The concert”.
It was in Paris, during the forties, when Carlos Nadal discovered the fauvism, artistic movement that influenced him and changed his way of painting. Slowly, his artworks started to leave the drawing, the perspective and the logical constructive behind to turn into a cheerful and harmonic explosion of color, while the particular print, that characterizes his work, was getting forged.
