Galeria Jordi Pascual presents a monographic exhibition dedicated to Antoni Clavé (Barcelona 1913 - Saint Tropez 2005). 

Under the title "Clavé expressionist. Paintings from 50s and 60s" the  exhibition collects fifteen oils that the artist made during this  period of time and shows some of the most representative topics of his  artistic career: still lifes, kings, warriors, harlequins, painters and  the gentelman with the hand on his chest, that the artist created in  homage to Greco. 

The artworks showed in this exhibition belong to the figurative expressionism, that consisted in modify the reality according to the feelings that the artist felt in the moment of creation.  

The 50s and 60s were very important for Antoni Clavé, because was in that moment when he improved his own artistic language and his painting was consolidated internationally.
