Galeria Jordi Pascual presents "Guinovart. From nature to the brush", a  solo exhibition that pays tribute to Josep Guinovart (Barcelona  1927-2007), one of the most important artists of catalan art in the  second half of XX century.
The exhibition, formed by a careful  selection of artworks painted during the 90s, shows the creative world  of Guinovart marked by field, the land and the nature. At the same time,  the exhibition shows how the artist liked playing with techniques and  different materials such us mud, sand or glass, until they were  integrated  and turned into an essencial and distinctive part of his  work.
Josep Guinovart was a versatile artist, compromised with the  social reality of his time, that created artworks framed between  figurative and abstract movement, with an extraordinary plastic wealth  and chromatic beauty , but also with a reflective background and a very  critical speech.
