Galeria Jordi Pascual presents a monographic exhibition dedicated to Luis Feito (Madrid 1929 – 2021), founder of El Paso group and a key figure in the development of the Spanish Contemporary Art in the second half of the 20th century.

Under the title “Luis Feito. The sensuality of the color”, the exhibition brings together twenty abstract artworks, that the artist produced between the 1950s and the 1970s. A careful selection that aims to spread and bring closer his artwork to the public, which reflects the research he carried out through elements such as light, space or matter.  On the other hand, the exhibition also wants to emphasize the color as the primordial element in his work, predominant over the line and the drawing in his compositions and one of the resources that Feito used to create the dualities and dramatic tensions that are so characteristic of his paintings. His paintings began with a reduced palette of black and white colors, which he later enriched with reds and ochres to finally opened up the chromatic range and reach the maximum splendor of color.

Therefore, we propose a journey through the work of this great artist, that invites you to think about it through his paintings of chromatic contrasts that stand out for his unique and gestural stroke.
