Art Basel's European edition brings the international art world together, with more than 280 of the world's leading galleries showing the work of over 4,000 artists, ranging from Modern Art's great masters to the youngest generation's emerging stars. A full program of art world talks takes place each day. Further afield, exhibitions and events are offered by the renowned cultural institutions of Basel and the entire region, creating an exciting art week for visitors. Introducing contemporary art from 33 countries and 286 galleries all over the world, the fair also boasts a robust program including Galleries, presenting modern and contemporary artworks; Edition, significant and rare art publications; Feature, projects from established and historical artists; and Statements, solo projects by emerging artists and other sectors for surveying contemporary art. Kukje Gallery will present the works of prominent artists, Kyungah Ham and Haegue Yang along with the Dansaekhwa master artists including Kwon Young-woo, Ha Chong-Hyun, Chung Sang-Hwa, and Park Seo-Bo. In the Unlimited sector, a special contemporary art platform for large-scale installations or performances, Haegue Yang presents installs Sol LeWitt Upside Down –Structure with Three Towers, Expanded 23 Times, Split in Three (2015). Park Chan-kyong, who recently had a successful solo exhibition at Tina Kim Galleryin New York, will screen one of his representative works FLYING in Art Basel’s Film program curated by Maxa Zoller.
