For the 19th edition of Paris Photo, 147 leading galleries and 27 specialized art book dealers from 34 countries were featured at the Grand Palais, presenting both historical and contemporary works and a complete panorama of the photographic medium.For the first time, a selection of galleries presented series and large formats in the new PRISMES sector in the Salon d'Honneur.Also on view in the Salon d'honneur were major works from one of Italy's most prominant private collectors, Enea Righi, featuring artists including Cy Twombly, Nan Goldin, and Hans-Peter Feldmann, among others.Accentuating the cultural and social dynamic of the fair, the Paris Photo Platform reunited key figures in the art world for a cycle of talks and discussions elaborating upon three axes: the collection, photography after the crisis, and photography and its relation to the book.In partnership with the Aperture Foundation, Paris Photo presented the 4th annual Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation Photobook Awards with the support of amana. BOOK MACHINE (Paris Photo, Paris), an new event initiative, reunited emerging designers and public participants through the creation of books. After a call to submissions, thirty projects were realized at the fair.The 2015 programming was made possible thanks to the support and participation of our distinguished partners: Giorgio Armani and the "Acqua #6" exhibition; J.P. Morgan with a selection of works from the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection; BMW with works by Natasha Caruana, laureate of the BMW Art & Culture Residency; Leica with works by Stéphane Duroy and Paulo Nozolino, "J'étais là"; and Pernod Ricard introducing its annual photographic commission, this year by Li Wei.
