Maddox Gallery LA is pleased to present ‘Throwing Shade’ by Cayla Birk. The colourful exhibition is part of her Birktone series which satirically pays homage to the most famous colour company in present day  – Pantone – marrying pop culture references and intricate designs with colour association. Each piece looks like a Pantone swatch from afar, but closer inspection reveals the signature Birk designs inviting the viewer to consider each colour in new yet austere ways.
