Gershon Iskowitz: Paintings from the 60s and 70s

16A Hazelton Avenue Toronto, ON M5R 2E2, Canada Saturday, April 25, 2015–Saturday, May 30, 2015

Miriam Shiell Fine Art presents a selection of Gershon Iskowitz paintings from the 1960s and 70s. Showcasing the bold colours and joyous expanses that Iskowitz is best known for, this small selling exhibition features important works from Private Collections as well as from the Estate of Gershon Iskowitz. An exhibition catalogue is available with forward by Ihor Holubizky, curator at the McMaster Museum of Art in Hamilton. From the catalogue:

“We can rightly admire the “mind imprint” of the 1970s Highlands, October, November and Red G paintings; their vibrancy, and at the same time offering the contemplative. The qualities of colour and composition-space are Iskowitz’s own invention.”
