Before the color of the year was announced by Pantone, my proposal for Expo 2020 was half-written, based on the color BLUE. After noticing the predominance of blue in gallery artists, as well as its effect on moods, its power over people, I decided to propose a stand based on it. There are several ways artists organize their work: composition: structure, color, form. As structure had been the basis for prior themes, it seemed timely to propose color. And, in the midst of writing the proposal Pantone came out with BLUE as the color of the year.

The symbolism of blue stretches far and wide. A brief precis: blue is the color of the sky and the sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth and also, heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. In many cultures, blue is significant in religious beliefs. In Iran, blue is the color of mourning. In our country “something blue” is part of the bridal tradition connected to love. Light blue is associated with health, healing tranquility, understanding, softness. Dark blue on the other hand stands for knowledge, power, integrity, seriousness.
