As with music concerts when there is an “opening act,” “In the Pink” is the opening act for Michele Pred’s exhibition, CHOICE. A visual tonic for the woes of winter, “In the Pink” focuses around a rarely used color that suddenly blossomed spontaneously in the hands of several gallery artists. Not only did several artists create splendid works using a pink palette, but the definition of “in the pink” means in the bloom of health, a positive wish for wintertime. A bouquet of freshness in the midst of winter snow and gray times, this show warms the heart as an intro to Michele Pred and her politically oriented works.

Including painting, sculpture, gouache, photography, this is a visual treat rather than a philosophical exegesis. Among artists whose works will be part of the show are: Nicolas Africano, Rupert Deese, Lynn McCarty, Nathalia Edenmont,
Howard Buchwald and Robert Zakanitch.
