Düsseldorf-based Galerie Noir blanche was founded in 2017 by photographer and curator Volker Marschall and has quickly developed into one of the leading galleries for photographic art. The historically influenced gallery name reflects one of the pillars of the gallery's programme. Famous photographers such as F.C. Gundlach, Evelyn Richter, Walter Schels, Hannes Schmid, Giovanni Gastel and Monika Baumgartl characterise the philosophy of the gallery and the exhibition programme. Galerie Noir blanche exclusively represents renowned contemporary artists in Germany, Europe and worldwide. Young photographers are also represented by Galerie Noir blanche and shown in exhibitions in order to expand and consolidate the position of photography in the visual arts.
