Painter Pham Viet Song was born on January 21, 1917 in Nam Dinh, and died on May 28, 2005. He is an alumnus of the College of Fine Arts. Indochina from 1935 to 1939. Like many artists of that generation, Pham Viet Song's paintings belong to the line of realistic art, rich in realistic, romantic, academic, classical, ethnic and modern art. For nearly 60 years, he has been known as a painting pedagogue, continuously opening drawing classes for all ages and levels. The legacy he left behind are paintings, lectures on painting, the book "Self-learning to draw" compiled by him very carefully and meticulously, and above all, an example of passion for life and art.
