1926 - 1930: Studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL and the Art Students League, New York, NY
1930: Returned to Chicago, IL; Painted views of the city and its working class
1936: Guggenheim Fellowship
: Commissioned by the Works Progress Administration to paint three monumental size murals for various Illinois Post Offices
1942 - 1945: Artistic war correspondent in the European Theater for Life Magazine and also worked for the Army Corps of Engineers
1948 - 1973: Replaced John Steuart Curry as the second Artist-in-Residence at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI
1953: Bohrod devoted himself exclusively to still life painting, often using a method known as ‘trompe l’oeil’
1992: Died on April 3, 1992, at the age of 84, in Madison, WI
2004: Recipient of one of the Wisconsin Visual Art Lifetime Achievement Awards (The Wisconsin Visual Art Hall of Fame)
