Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina
1940
Began his artistic education with Manuel de Falla (1876-1946), studying music and composition. He is also influenced by Joaquin Torres-Garcia (1874-1949), founder of the movement “circles and squares”.
1945 - 1949
Along with Jonio Montiel, Gonzalo Fonseca and Julio Alpuy in 1945 he travelled through Argentina, Peru and Bolivia to study pre-Columbian art.
1949
Moved to Paris and founded the workshop where he still works today.
